Itinerary Overview (14 nights / 15 days)
Day 1
Arrive Casablanca
- Arrival at Casablanca Mohammed V airport (25 Km), welcome and assistance.
- Transfer to the hotel.
- Afternoon, tour of Casablanca by the Hassan II mosque, the Habbous quarter, the United Nations square, the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes, the door of the royal palace and the Anfa district.
- Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 & 3
Casablanca – Meknes – Zerhoun
- Departure from Casablanca at 7:00 am, to Zerhoun (266 km), we stop for lunch and continue.
- Arrive at Zerhoun, check in at the hotel and dinner.
- Morning, visit the imperial city Meknes (26 Km) which was founded at the end of the 17th Century by Moulay Ismael, its gates and medina, Highlights will also include Bab El Mansour.
- -Visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis
- Back to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 4 & 5
Zerhoun – Midelt (290 Km)
- After breakfast, departure to Midelt via Azrou.
- Stop in Azrou, a Berber village known for its handicraft cooperative.
- Continuation, arrival to Midelt and check in at the hotel.
- Dinner and accommodation.
- Morning visit the city and excursion for lunch at a local resident and witness the traditional life style.
- Back to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 6 & 7
Midelt – Erfoud – Meraouga dunes
- After an early breakfast you will begin your ascent across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the beautiful forests, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and begin to descent towards the Sahara Desert. Half way, you will stop for lunch.
- On arrival at the Kasbah in Erfoud, a hot shower or dip in the swimming pool will be a treat after the drive. Dinner will be served at the Kasbah.
- Early morning, excursion by 4-wheel drive to see where you can have the opportunity to see one the best sunrise in the world over the sands dunes of Merzouga, the gate to the dunes.
- We go to la Kasbah le Touareg, we stop there for around an hour if you are attempted by a short swim in the swimming pool.
- Around 4 o’clock you will set off by camel for a 2-hour trek out to the oasis where you will spend the night in Berber tents (Dinner is included).
- Overnight stay in tents or return back to Erfoud (this could be optional if you would prefer to return to the hotel to sleep).
Day 8
Erfoud – Rissani – Tinghir (170 km)
- After breakfast continue to the Rissani, Tinghir and the majestic canyons of Todra Gorges known for their impressive bare escarpments, that rise up to 300 m high in altitude. The picturesque river valleys make for a beautiful journey towards the southeast of Morocco, and then visit the Dades Gorge via the lake.
- We arrive to the camp around 6 o’clock, we have a mint tea with the nomads in the camp, we go over the dunes to see the sun set
- After the sun set you will have the opportunity to see the most amazing sky you have ever seen in your life.
- Arrive to hotel, dinner will be served and overnight.
Day 9 & 10
Tinghir – M’Gouna Skoura – Ouarzazate. (200 km)
- After breakfast, departure to make the trail of thousand Kasbahs, visit Kelâa M’gouna known by its’ Rose Festival, Skoura and Boumalen Dades. Lunch en route. Arrival to Ouarzazate you can visit this southern town, probably most famous now for the numerous Hollywood films that have been produced in the area (the capital city of cinema in Africa)
- Check-in and dinner will be served in hotel.
- Early morning we wake you half an hour before sunrise, magical lights before sunrise
- After breakfast, visit of the Kasbah of Taourirt and Tifoultout in Ouarzazate, and drive to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (one of the jewels of Morocco). In typical Moroccan fashion, the true treasures must be searched out and discovered…usually off the beaten path. In actuality, this setting has been used for more films than any other location in Morocco; films including, Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, and recently The Gladiator.
- -After Lunch, visit the ruins of the Kasbah and return.
- Dinner and overnight.
Day 11 & 12
Ouarzazate – Marrakesh (250 km)
- After breakfast, you will head off towards Marrakech.
- Private transport over Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka.
- Diner and night at the hotel.
- Breakfast then departure to have a huge visit around the “Pearl of the South” tour of the city and its monuments: Gardens of Menara, the Minaret of the Koutoubia, Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Royal Palace Méchouar.
- Lunch.
- Afternoon, visit the Medina and Souks varied as the Souk of dyers, brass …. Visit the Museum Dar Si Said, Djemaa el Fena, where you can watch the spectacle of snake charmers, tooth strippers, dancers
- The afternoon, excursion to the Ourika valley.
- Back to hotel, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 13
Marrakech -Casablanca
- - This is your free day of leisure.
- - Afternoon, departure to Casablanca.
Day 14
Casablanca
- - Full-day private touring.
Day 15
Depart Morocco
- - Private transfer to Med V airport in Casablanca, according to flight schedules.
